“Eliminator” Truck Body Conversion
Mine Rite patented process
- Converts existing gated coal body to “Eliminator” (non-gated) style body
- Eliminates the need for high maintenance tailgate
- Reduces maintenance costs
- Increases capacity while maintaining GVW
- Improves up time
- Can be completed as part of body rebuild
The Conversion Process:

Typical gated body style before the conversion process.

The conversion process eliminates the need for high maintenance tailgates by
removing the tail gate plus rear third of the truck body floor and rear sidewall.

"Eliminator" style body after modification. A raised floor (approximately
10 degrees above front floor) is installed and the rail assembly is changed to
match. Sidewall is added to increase payload equal to weight of the removed tail gate.
A material dam is installed to control proper payload axle split weight (per chassis
manufacturer's specifications).
